International Week at IAE Bretagne Sud

International Week at IAE Bretagne SudIn June, IAE Bretagne Sud hosted students and academics from several European universities for a program focusing on strategy, sustainability, and financial stability.

From June 15 to 19, IAE Bretagne Sud hosted an international week as part of a Blended Intensive Program (BIP) focused on strategy, sustainability, and financial stability. Students and academics from several European universities worked together on major contemporary management issues through a combination of lectures, case studies, serious games, and collaborative projects. The experience was marked as much by its academic richness as by its human and intercultural dimensions.

Testimonial from Olena, a Slovak student

What was the most memorable idea, insight, or discussion for you during this week?

Personally, the most interesting part for me was Mr. Saker Sabkha’s lecture, where we explored ways to legalise money. For a long time, this topic was somewhat unclear to me, so it was very useful to understand it in detail. It is also worth noting that the presentation itself was particularly engaging: dynamic and stimulating.

What did you learn from interacting with students from other European countries that you probably wouldn’t have learned in a traditional classroom setting?

First of all, I think it is worth mentioning the serious games, which were the main activity of the programme. I had not encountered similar practices at my university in my field of study. We also exchanged with students from other countries about their studies and experiences. It is always interesting to gain insights into how universities operate in other countries and to learn from them.

If you had to describe this week to a friend in just one sentence, what moment or experience would you choose and why?

Events like this inspire you to improve yourself and show you what you should strive for. I truly believe this, as the setting of this week matched the aspirations of many of us, and the people we met allowed us to learn many new and useful things. We made genuine new friends, which I personally did not expect at all. I sincerely believe that our paths will cross again in the future and that we will continue to grow through these encounters.
