Honoris CausaThe Honoris Causa, a top notch distinction.

Created in 1918, the “Honoris causa” is one of the most prestigious distinction granted by French Universities to honor “people of foreign nationalities for having rendered outstanding services in science, literature or the arts, in France or at university”

Since its creation, the University of South Brittany has had the honour of awarding this prestigious distinction 4 times. This testifies to the importance of developing high-level scientific research internationally.

2008 : Presentation of the Honoris Causa to Professor Maciej Ciesielski, computer scientist at the University of Massachusetts, the title of first doctor honoris causa of UBS.
